MANCHESTER, N.H. —

The city of Manchester is showing off updated designs for the South Commercial Street extension project.

The plan is to create a new connection from Granite Street to Elm Street that crosses over the rail corridor south of Delta Dental Stadium.

The updated design expands the pedestrian walkway along most of the bridge.

The city hopes the project will help alleviate traffic, improve emergency response times and give more access for eventgoers.

The city will share more updates as the project goes through the approval process.
